A thought I'd missed a friend's Birthday and knew I'd be seeing her soon, so I made her a little pressie... a needlecase. I used a recycled shirt (one which Tiger-girl had outgrown and hardly worn).
The fabric is velvet and really soft.
I added a metal butterfly with a loop of elastic to be a closure and sewed her name with letter beads.
My friend is really creative so I added 3 little metal charms that say 'create' 'inspire' & 'imagine'.
Onto the yellow felt I had added a range of sewing needles & safety pins (not shown on the pic).
I stitched a pin-holder wheel with a button front & back to hold it securely.
It was really nice to pop down & visit our friends and she liked her gift (even though her Birthday isn't till November)...I know I'm a prawn ;)

You are inspiring me to start sewing again mandy!
