Tiger-girl's 'Girls Brigade' group are running a stall at the Church's Christmas Fete. It's a 'Red & Green' stall. The chids decided to make some red and green items for the stall (no help required from me except for "Where's the..." "Can I have some...." and.... "Is it OK if...." kinda questions.) Chef has a 'signature' item that he makes for this sort of occasion, namely an origami box filled with sweets. I gave him some scrapbook paper to make the boxes but he decided the finished box was too big and chose to ink stamp some Christmassy motifs onto red/green paper instead...
Smurf and T-G chose to make bracelets and necklaces from beads. [Note how they were all in Tiger-girl's room, sitting on the floor, not using the schoolroom or kitchen table... it was a stricktly no adult help needed thing that was going on. It was all I could do to get a few pics!]
So glad they're independent (but feel like time's slipping away... sniff...)

Hi! I am in Julie's techniques class with you and have really enjoyed your blog - and your family. Isnt it great to see the independent creativity in your childres, you are giving them such a great gift of encouragement. I have a daughter (son in law too!) and 4 grandchildren who have moved to Germany - she homeschools and is an avid scrapbooker too. I am going to email her a link to your blog to get good ideas!! Keep up the lovely work!!!
