I was blessed to be given an i-pod classic a couple of years ago by a special friend. She also gave me a smart, black leather case, but I thought I'd challenge myself to design a crochet case. This is what I made...
There's an opening in the base so that the i-pod can stay in the case when it's connected to the computer USB...
Likewise, I made sure the headphones could be attatched while the i-pod was in the case...
The i-pod slips snugly into the case for maximum protection...
I used Patons 100% wool in 4 ply and a 2mm hook. The case is held closed with a yarn loop around a button.
This was a challenging project because it had to fit the i-pod exactly with the openings in the correct place. I will write up the pattern once I've checked it and post a PDF file free here on my blog. Check out the left side bar for other crochet projects and free patterns.
We've had problems with our electricity recently. In the last week I've seen 2 electricians and 8 blokes from the MEB (now called e-on). Seriously. I could hug those MEB guys, they were AWESOME! One good side effect was Husb and I enjoying some candle-lit communication together. Realised just how much I take electricity for granted and still catching up with the laundry. Sigh.
Loved the case - think I'll need to buy an ipod now! hope the electricity is now fixed. love xxx

Do you know if you will be offering this pattern in the future? I would really love to make this for myself and several others.
