I have been working on the set of crochet Nativity Figures. Here are 'The Three Wise Kings'...

I used beads for the gifts and some beads & sequins to decorate them too. Here they are with Joseph, Mary and Baby Jesus...
They don't have to be stand-up figures, thay can be finger puppets too...
I used a 2 mm (B) hook and 4 ply (sport weight)cotton yarn (PATONS) but the red is 4 ply (sport weight)wool and the silver and yellow are thick crochet cottons. Here's an idea of scale...
The set so far...

Just the other day, I found your pattern for Mary, Joseph & Baby Jesus. I thought that as finger puppets, they would be ideal for gifts for my Sunday schools student (5 yrs old). I have already made three sets. They are super cute and crochet up fast.
I am excited to try these wise men. I will keep checking to see if you have come up with angel, sheep, oxen, donkeys, camel, etc. Those would be great too. Then I can have a complete set for my children to act out the Nativity story with. I can just use Joseph for shepherds.
I used crochet cotton for Baby Jesus because I wanted him to be "to scale" so Mary could hold him. It worked perfectly. I also used a size D & E hook depending on yarn thickness so the puppets could fit adult fingers too.
Thank you so much for this pattern. It is wonderful and will make Christmas extra special this year for both my children & my Sunday school class.

Hi,
I am loving your nativity patterns. As soon as we get our printer fixed/replaced I will start on them. Did you make any animals, donkey, sheep, camel?
